Personal History
I have owned a dirtbike since I was about 12-13 years old, so I've been riding about 13-14 years. I have always ridden recreationally but never really raced until 2011. As soon as I raced for the first time I was hooked. I got 3rd place in my first race and from then on I was in love with it. I do mostly Enduro/Hare Scramble style races. I started racing in the C class for 2 years and 2nd overall both seasons for both the 2011 and 2012 seasons. I have moved up to Open B class for the last 2 seasons and am excited to keep racing. I have raced in 5 different series now.
I have a 7 year old son who also has a bike. It is fun teaching him how to ride and getting out with him to see him ride. He is by far my best friend.
Other than racing, I love being active. I have a mountain bike that I love to ride, I love running/trail running, hiking, camping, rock climbing, just about all sports, fishing, listening to/playing music and having a good time. I also love to travel and go backpacking. For my diet I stick to a diet of mostly veggies, fruits, lean meats, rice, and pasta.
Riding Goals
My short term goal is to get in extremely good shape and place in the top 3 overall in the Open B class for all series' I race for next season. I think it is definitely doable and I will make sure that it happens with the proper training and consistency in riding.
Another short term goal is to race in all of the series' that I can to gain experience and exposure. I will be busy in doing so as I do have a lot on my plate trying to make every race in each series, but that is where sponsorship could really come into play and help out a ton. I also have a goal of landing some good sponsorships that will keep me able to race every couple of weekends.
My long term goals are to reach the "Pro" class rider status at a local or regional level in the next 4-5 seasons. With the right mind-set and training regimen I can make that happen. Also, when my name gets out there I will be able to land even more sponsors that can help me accomplish that goal.
My ultimate goal would be to race the entire GNCC series and place in the top 5 in whatever class I am in and have my name in some kind of magazine article. That would be a really cool thing to have hanging on the wall at home.
My lifetime goal is to keep riding until I just can't ride any longer. I would like to start getting into trail preservation and riding clubs a little bit more once I am through with competitively racing. Central Indiana doesn't have a whole lot of places to ride and I would like to change that so that the next generation of riders do.
Competitive Highlights
I finished 2nd overall for the 2011 MWXC season in Open C class
I finished 2nd overall for the 2012 MWXC season in Open C class

I finished 7th overall in the 2014 MAXC season in Open B class
Being able to be competitive in general is great. There is always room for improvement and racing with people who are better than you makes you that much more competitive.
