Personal History
I starting racing in 1997 when I was 5 years old locally. The following year was my first year attending national events such as Loretta Lynn's. I continued racing every year along with maintaining solid grades in school and finding time to hang out with friends at home. As I started getting older, injuries started to really take a toll on me like they do on many riders. Then at a state championship race in November of 2009, I injured both of my shoulders at the same time and needed a serious surgery. I couldn't ride for about 11 months but I needed a break anyways. I started college fall of 2010 and I really didnt have much time to ride. With not being able to give it 100% with riding and training, I quit racing for awhile until 2012. I got a new bike and some new people around me this year and I'm working hard to get back up to pace.
Riding Goals
My number one goal right now is to get my stamina back to where is used to be. I'm working hard and I'm starting to see progress. Also, I want to finish out the year racing the pamx state championship races doing well.
Competitive Highlights
My favorite highlight is probably qualifying for Loretta Lynn's 9 times and getting a bronze medal at the Mini O's.
