Personal History
I have been riding off and on since the age of 12. I never had the best of equipment, but always did the best I could with what I had.
I raced locally on my parents budget in the early 80's on a kx 80, then a kx125, always having a bike that was old enough to be back of the pack competitive, Lol. I took a break after high school and began racing again in my late 20's running selected races with HPMA, SRAC,TSDR, and RMXA--local circuits running in the Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska and Kansas area. I placed well riding a kx125 in the Vet and big bike classes.
In 2013 after being bike-less for almost 15 years, I was taking photos at a local race and thought I should give it another go. Got my first 4-stroke kx450 and the rest is history. I started racing the local TSDR circuit, and got enough races to qualify 4th in points for Vet c after a 14 year hiatus. 2014 was a good year, attending all 18 races in the Series, winning 3 events, placing 3rd in Vet c year end points, and pointing out to the B class. Last race of the year finished 4th in Vet B.
Riding Goals
My goals as a rider are to gain more skill, become the rider I should have been, and to be competitive in every race I enter. Nobody is as good as they can possibly be, and I strive to be better every time I'm on the bike. I'm under no illusion that I will ever be a world class rider, but my goal is to show that anybody can be good enough to be competitive, work hard to show younger riders this is a GREAT sport that keeps you young, and to listen and LEARN.
