Personal History
My name is Jett Hess and I am 6 years old. My story begins Christmas of 2016 when I begged Santa for a dirt bike and was stoked to find a CRF 50 under the tree. Within a few minutes of riding, I was in third gear standing on my seat going down the street. Since then, I haven't looked back. I quickly began racing in the local Friday Night Lights races at our local 3 Palms track. I placed in my first race and continued to place in each of the summer races, most of them competing against older riders on 2 stroke bikes. My parent soon realized that I was quickly advancing and needed a faster bike to compete with my competition. They purchased a 2016 KTM 50 SX and I took off.
I have so much passion and love for riding... I love to go fast, high, and hard. When I fall, I get right back up and go. I have the drive it takes and I have the desire to win! If I could ride everyday, I would!
When I'm not riding, I'm outside riding bikes or jumping on the trampoline with my 4 year old brother, Ryker. Ryker rides a PW 50 and is just starting out. I enjoy helping him on the track and pushing him to go just a little faster. I also enjoy playing baseball and almost any other sport there is. My dad used to ride dirt bikes in his younger years and has really enjoyed this journey with me. He is a helicopter pilot and travels a ton so we get to see some pretty neat places. My mom is a realtor and takes me to most of my races and practices. She loves being a moto mom and is really starting to get the hang of everything, including some minor maintenance on my bikes.
Riding Goals
I would love to continue to improve on my bike and advance to larger races. I recently placed 1st in both the 4-6 Limited and 4-7 Open classes in the EMX series here in Texas. This next spring, I would like to be fast enough to race and win the AMA District 20 series then go on to compete in the State Championships. Although young, I love competition and I love to win!
I would also like to find a coach to help me excel in this sport. I want to ride all day, every day and consider myself extremely coachable. I can't wait to see how far I go!
