Personal History
My name is Jesse Ullrich, I'm 25 and am an off-road/motocross rider from Aztec, NM. I have had a love for all things 2 wheels since a very young age. I started out by riding BMX and did so for most of my youth. When I was 15 my parents bought me and my brother our first dirtbikes and I have been in love ever since. I have always rode simply for the love of riding a dirtbike, riding trails and building jumps in the desert surrounding our home with my brother. On occasion we would also enjoy riding our local motocross track.
In 2012 we took a trip to California and purchased a couple of bigger, newer bikes and decided to test my skills and try something different by starting to compete in Hare Scrambles, Enduro races and the occasional motocross and arenacross race. I have had a blast competing this last year and have found that off-road racing such as Hare Scrambles and Enduro racing fits my style of riding best and that I have the most fun with these types of races.
I have always been a very active outdoor person and enjoy many outdoor activities here in northern NM/ southern CO. I try and ride as much as possible but during the winter unfortunately some days aren't rideable around here (Snow, sub freezing temps)! But during the summer I ride almost every day. I have hopes of a long future in the sport and look forward to many more races and lots of fun in the future!
I would like to find sponsorships from companies in the off-road racing industry that will help me to advance in the sport and as a rider and I would love to help advertise for companies that are as passionate about the off-road world as I am!
Riding Goals
My goals for the 2014 season is to gain experience, race as many races as possible, to have a top ten finish in the Pro class by the end of the season and of course to have as much fun as possible and meet alot of new friends in the sport!
I will be racing all stops on the WEBE Hare Scramble Series and hope to make a couple NMDRC races, as well as possibly a SCORE and BITD race.
Competitive Highlights
In 2013 I was able to finish 3rd, 2nd, and 1st respectively in my class (Pro 2/Semi Pro/A) in the first three Hare Scrambles I competed in.
I was able to advance 40+ positions overall (overall included all riders in AA (pro), A (Expert/pro 2/Semi Pro), & B classes) in those three races as well.
