Personal History

Got started riding when my dad was given a 78 YZ 80 to fix up. I was about 8 when it was rideable. After a few years of playing around in an empty field on that, my step dad bought a 95 YZ 125 and I was able to ride that every once in a while and experienced my first track riding at Horn Rapids ORV park in Richland, WA. In 2001, after graduating HS, I was able to purchase my first brand new bike (2001 YZ 125) and finally able to start riding on a regular basis. 2 years later, I got married and we had our first child so riding had to come to a halt and the bike had to go.

2016 I decided to attend the Washougal national and I felt the itch to get back in the saddle and go riding again so I picked up a used 2011 RMZ 450 and started playing around. Just for fun, I entered a 30+B race at a local track in Pilot Rock, OR and it sparked the urge to race more. I moved to Pocatello, ID in 2017 and have been riding here and there and racing when it makes sense.

Riding Goals

I currently enter classes that cater to 40+ Novice riders. My goal is to attend at least 3 International Old Timer MX rounds (Washougal, Boise, and Horn Rapids) and the North rounds of the RMX series in UT and ID.

My results have been in the top 50% of the Novice classes and my goal in the next year is to be in the top 25% by the end of the season in 2023. By 2025, I want to move up to Intermediate after collecting some wins and some hardware.

Competitive Highlights

I'm extremely proud of the progress I've made in 2022. I haven't raced much over the last couple years but I have been much more competitive than when I started racing in 2016-2019. I've gone from rolling the jumps and nearly stalling in corners to clearing most obstacles and actually racing competitors rather than just trying to not get lapped.

Hoping to add some more highlights in 2023.
