Personal History

Riding and racing dirt bikes is an awesome opportunity for me.  I work in a stressful atmosphere and look forward to twisting the throttle on the weekends.  My dad got me my first dirt bike when I was 21 months old.  It was a Suzuki JR 50; he put training wheels on it and tied a rope to the back of (hill billy governor, baby!).  I actually rode dirt bikes before I could ride a bicycle.  Rode dirt bickes up until my high school years.  Like many of us dirt bikers once I turned sixteen I became interested in other activities and stopped riding for many years.

Fast forward to 2006.  I found myself going to college and working full time at the age of twenty five.  Started to get the itch to twist it again and found an old DR 250.  After riding it for about 6 months I decided I wanted to race off road.  Traded my pick up for a 2002 Yamaha WR 426 and started racing the Arkansas Hare Scramble Series.  Started in C-Open and quickly began moving up in the ranks.  In 2008 I moved to B-Open, which to me seemed like a big jump.  In 2009 I overalled B and placed 7th overall.  Moved to A Open in 2010 and finished the year in 3rd.

In 2011 a group of myself and 4 buddies got a team together and decided to make a run at the National Enduro series.  We decided to call our team Team Gnar as we absolutely LOVE riding the gnar. Since I had not ran any enduros before and the venue would prove to have a lot more competition I have signed up in the B-Open class.  It has been an awesome experience.  At the end of this season I will have competed in 8 of 10 events and am expecting to finish in 2nd place.

I am a hard worker both on and off the rack.  I am married, work a full time job and manage to work on my bike and compete/ride as much as I can.  Riding dirt bikes has taught me discipline and has introduced me to many new friends and experiences.  I absolutely love it and think about it daily.
