Personal History
I'm a 39 year old rookie Vet rider in District 18.
I am married, 7 years this year, and have a 5 year old son who is also getting into MX.
I have been riding since I was 4 years old. I last competed in 1983, and have been away from the competition side of MX since then. 3 years ago, I returned to dirtbikes and MX.
With the support of my wife, my family, and my sponsors, I enjoyed a successful rookie season both on and off the track. I won a class championship, raised money for a local autism foundation, and got my son fully prepared to begin his rookie MX season in 2009.
I will be competing in the Arenacross Tour Series at multiple facilities in Tennessee and Mississippi over the winter 2008/2009 season. Additionally, I will be competing in select events in Illinois, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Texas outdoors in 2009.
For sponsors, I offer a unique opportunity to reach a demographic that is in the minority of MX racers, but is usually responsible for the majority of the purchasing for the majority demographic. I represent the "moto dads" who are racing alongside their sons and daughters in the Mini, SuperMini, and 125/250 classes. As "moto dads", we decide what and when to buy for ourselves, as well as our children who race and ride.
I am clean-cut, well-spoken, courteous, and professional at all times. I am an excellent sponsor representative by virtue of my diverse background and life experience. I have promoted my current sponsors and helped increase exposure and sales from the day I signed the contracts.
I look forward to giving 200% on and off the track for my sponsors, and to help them grow in the MX marketplace, as well as continued dedication to the sport.
Riding Goals
I am moving up to the Vet C class for winter 2008 and the 2009 outdoor season. My goals for the upcoming season are to gain the skills and confidence to continue progressing forward in my class, post consistent finishes, and advance to the Vet B class next year.
Competitive Highlights
In 2008, I won the Open Beginner class championship at Euro Raceway in Nashville, IL. This was a hotly contested class due to there not being a Vet B/C/D class offering, so I competed against riders of more experienced classes.
My wife and I founded a benefit program that enabled us to raise over $1,000 for a local autism foundation in O'Fallon, IL through my MX racing.
