Personal History
My name is Jerry Casner, Im 23 years old and live in Edmond Oklahoma. I race in the 250/450 Intermediate class. I started racing when I was 13 and worked from there through the ranks, racing the state series and a few qualifiers for amatuer nationals all the way to where I am now. I love the atmosphere of the race track and also helping all the less fortunate and slower riders whenever I can. There is nothing else that I would rather do... EAT, BREATH, DRINK, AND DREAM motocross!!
Riding Goals
I am currently racing the fall series at Cooperland Raceway in Stillwater Ok, in the novice class. Im going to Texas to race the final rnd of the ama best of texas final rnd at oak hill. After Im done with the cooperland series, I plan on attending a few local races to stay sharp over the winter. Starting in 09 I will be moving back to Intermediate and attending the 2009 Oklahoma State series, while racing a few select events in between. I would like to qualify for the Ponca City nma nationals and compete with some of the best amatuer riders in the world. Thats about all I can think of as far as my plans for 09.
Competitive Highlights
In 2003, I took 3rd overall in the Oklahoma state series in the 250 novice class, made a few local amateur magazines, and trained with Robbie Reynard and Jake Martin quite a bit. Raced Intermediate and took 1st in my first ever Intermediate race, which was an arenacross in Texas. I did well in all the local races the following year placing top 3 in most of my races. In 2005, I won a small local series at a motorcycle raceway, which was a very popular track that unfortunatly was closed down due to the local government. I know there are more, but I just cant think of them. Ive taken off a few years now and Im more motivated than ever. Ive been training and riding with my good friend Robbie Smith, who is a very well respected local pro, in hopes to ride good and hopefully surpass all of my previous highlights.
