Personal History
My name is Jerron Stiner, I'm a Sophmore in high school. I maintain good grades and I enjoy spending time with my friends and family when I'm not riding. I have been riding dirt bikes off and on since I was about 5 years old. All of my riding experience in the past was trail riding and just tooling around over in Eastern Oregon or in our field. I felt like I was wanting to do something more competitive so I asked my parents about racing. They took me to the track a few times to check it out and I knew immediately that on that track was where I wanted to be. At the time I was riding a Yamaha TTR230 and knew that to be competitive, I would need to get another bike. I worked all summer bucking hay and doing odd jobs for my parents and grandpa. By the end of summer I was able to purchase a new Yamaha YZ250F. I took the bike to one practice and then signed up for my first race in Albany Oregon on July 1, 2016. I took 6th place that race out of about 12 riders. That race showed me what my weaknesses were, I spent the next two months getting as much guidance and seat time as I could. On September 25, 2016, I entered my second race and placed 1st in the 250 Beginner class. Since then I have raced one other time and placed 2nd. I have a lot to learn but I have the will to succeed and I'm eager to learn and improve. I absolutely love the track family we have created and I look forward to the fun and memories we will make at the track.
Riding Goals
I really want to finish first, so I will practice turns, jumps, rhythm, and endurance and everything else that will make me fast. I also want to learn my bike inside and out, and be able to fix any problems the bike might have.
