Personal History

I am 22 years old and I have raced ATV motocross since I was three and a half years old. My first full season in a local series I won the championship. At the age of 5 I started racing the AMA ATV Nationals. I battled for the championship for 12 years at a national level. Went to cyber school so I could train down in Texas all winter. In June 2014, I had a very bad accident. I shattered my L3 vertebra in my back along with many other bones. I was told I would never walk again and didn’t have feeling in my legs for 8 months. But, I was determined to ride again. Started to get back on my feet after 11 months of recovery. As soon as I could, I started riding again. About 18 months after the accident I was doing the impossible, walking around, living a normal life. Decided to race an AWRCS race with my buddies and loved it. Started training again and went to the John Penton GNCC and took the win. Went to the Snowshoe GNCC and also took the win. Headed to Lorretta Lynn’s National with a couple friends and SSR Racing gave me a bike to ride for the weekend to get me back out on a motocross track, unfortunately due to bike problems I finished 10th. The last three years, I decided to travel in the GNCC series to try to finally win a national championship. I locked up the championship with 2 races left my first full season since my accident. Also won the Championship on a dirt bike as well! In 2018, I locked the championship up two races left also..
I love being an inspiration to all the people that are in the hospitals with the same injury as me. Giving people hope that no matter what a doctor says you can do anything you put your mind to. I also race RC cars professionally on the off season. I have a team that does my training program called JLT racing with ten riders, and enjoy watching them improve because of my workouts and techniques.

Riding Goals

In 2020, I am going to run the whole GNCC series and go for national championship in the XC2 class. On the off weekends of the national series I will be at some local series races as well, including AWRCS, EROC and NECXC racing both the ATV and dirt bike. I plan on training and practicing a lot over the winter to get ready for next season. Can’t wait to meet and race against new people next season!
