Personal History

My motocross journey has been a bit different than most of my riding peers.  Absolutely NO ONE in my family had every done anything motorsports related in their lives.  It was always something that interested me and after years and years of begging my parents to let me try it, I got my first dirt bike at age 14.  I got a late start, but from the get-go I was pretty decent at it.  Shortly thereafter, I ran my first race in 2005 right when I turned 15 and ran the 125C class.  I won my third race ever and then continued to win races that summer and got bumped up to B class.  I was able to win races in my first year in the B class as well and we then began taking the next step for the 2007 season and ventured out to the Loretta Lynn Qualifiers and Regional championships.  It was all a fast learning curve for my family and I, but we had a great time traveling the country together and I improved greatly as a rider.  I was advanced to the A class in 2008 and won my first two local races before running into injury.  The next two seasons would be injury riddled along with numerous mechanical setbacks (some causing the injuries) and I found myself in a deep hole after that.  I pressed on and came back swinging and placed in the top 3 for the Spring Creek MX Super Series in 2011 and 2012 and followed the Pro-Am races.  Another injury and a new career had kept me off the bike until 2014 and I am all set for a full time comeback this season.  Having just turned 25, I have been training hard for the upcoming Loretta Lynn Qualifiers and look to get down to the ranch. I work full time running my own business and try to ride as much as I can.  Motocross has taken me places I never thought possible and we have met so many great people along the way.  Over the years, I have gotten my brother and numerous friend and family from my hometown into the sport and it has truly become a lifestyle that we wouldn't change for anything.

Riding Goals

For this season, I have many goals set in place.  I just turned 25 this past fall and am going to enter the Junior 25 Plus class along with 450 pro Sport for my quest to Loretta Lynn's.  I fully expect to qualify for the National in both classes.  I am also shooting to win the 25+ A class in the Spring Creek MX Super Series as that is our favorite track and series to run in the Midwest.  Additionally, I am striving to place in the top 5 at each round in the 450 and 250A classes. Consistency will be key and with my elevated fitness program off of the bike, I believe that will be very attainable as well.
