Personal History

My passion for motocross began at an early age. I started riding motocross when I was 4 years old and continued riding and racing heavily until the age of 16, when I cut back on how much I was racing, but never fully giving up the sport. I continued racing the “A” class once or twice a year at local events that I would choose to visit. The reason for a decline in participation was that during the time that I was racing motocross I also developed a drive for BMX. While I was doing both successfully for a number of years, at the age of 16 is when I decided to follow my path toward becoming a professional BMX rider, a goal that I was ultimately able to achieve. Through BMX, I was able to travel the world promoting some of BMX’s best and biggest brands such as Deluxe BMX and Profile Racing. I am fortunate to still have great relationships with these companies today as I continue to ride BMX as more of a hobby.

I still continued riding motocross on my private track and practice days at local tracks, while always keeping a bike. My passion for racing recently came back in full force and 2018 marked my return to a complete season of racing. This happened because in the fall of 2017, I had decided that while I had
achieved many accolades and accomplishments in BMX (from participating in the Dew Tour, to winning major contests, and having pictures both on the covers and inside content of world-wide BMX magazines) that I wanted to accomplish some new goals in life.

Riding Goals

Each year I set goals for myself, because I feel having goals are what drive me. Each year I feel I have been successful in meeting my set goals. I have been able to win both a Great Lakes Championship and GLMX Thor Mideast Motocross Series Championship in the Vet 30+ class, winning a Regional Championship in the Vet 35+ class, and winning the Racer X Senior Championship series in both the 30+A and 35+A classes.

My goals this year have changed from simply winning championships. I have set out to get my AMA pro card by racing Pro-Ams throughout the midwest. My goal this year is to gain the 60 points necessary to attain my pro status so I can try to qualify for an AMA pro national next year.

Competitive Highlights

I feel that I have had many competitive highlights in motocross. In the last year, my two greatest highlights are winning a Regional Championship in the Vet 35+ class. I was also fortunate enough to win the Racer X Senior Championship series in both the 30+A class, as well as the 35+A class.

This year I have been racing the "A" class more and more at local races. I even scored a 5th place finish at the Log Road MX Loretta Lynn's Area Qualifier. I think that this year I am riding the best I ever have.
