Personal History

Hooligan #68 Bio

Hello, My name is Jeff (El Hefe) Whitaker,
I am Hooligan Enduro racer #68 from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I have been on and around motorcycles my whole life. From the first rumble of a Harley at a young age, I knew I was hooked. When I turned 15, I spent my paper route earnings on a 1976 Harley Davidson 175cc bike that was in pieces. My grandfather and I got it back together and got it running. That was it; the feeling of riding, the whole experience just gave me the satisfaction and thrills I was searching for.

Today, I am preparing a specially equipped vintage Harley-Davidson to race in what is called ”the toughest off-road race in America,” the Mint 400. Being part of the 2021-22 Steel City Harley-Davidson / SCVM Hooligan Enduro Team just hooked me. Especially after the team swept the podium in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. I had to come back and race this beast myself.

It would be an honor to race the Desert Hooligan Enduro class with your support and represent your product, service, and commitment. The Mint 400 is a highly publicized race, Live TV, PPV, Youtube, and all social media platforms. The race has great press and publicity and the “lead up” to the race on social media is a real gem for sponsorship activity. I will be highlighting your product, service, or contribution in a spotlight environment through my social media posts, hashtags, and branding on bikes/jerseys.

I need your help. Please sponsor me, or consider me for your rider development program. I am truly a “grassroots team, on a shoestring budget” so the support I get from you means everything, everything, everything!

To finish the Mint 400 on a vintage Harley that I built would be incredible
