Riding Since: 1978
First, I am a father of 4 amazing kids, veteran, lifelong motorcycle rider, just started riding/racing after 8 yr break. I love motocross due to the challenges, physically, mentally, and technically. As well as for the skills that it teaches children, the family atmosphere and for the exhilaration of living on the edge. I started riding again to spend quality time with my children, support my oldest son in his racing endeavors, teach my younger children how to ride, and promote the motocross lifestyle.
Riding Goals
To continue to better myself on the bike, as a person, and to pass the love of riding and racing to my children. Work on racing as many series as I can, continue to promote the sport, and companies that I'm associated with in a positive light.
Competitive Highlights
May 1991 - Started road racing with the ARRA at Willow Springs International Raceway on a Kawasaki ZX7R
Aug 1991 - Won my first Novice Open Class Road Race at Willow Springs
Sept 1991 - Finished 3rd and got my first podium finish in 750 Modified Production Expert Class
Dec 1991 - Won my first 750 Modified Production Expert Class Race, Finished 3rd in 750 Superbike
Finished 16 Overall in Series Points in 1991 in ARRA Series
Finished 12 Overall AMA/CCS SW Region Series
1992 Raced AMA Pro Supersport, AMA/CCS SW Region Series, WSMC Series
Unfortunately I was involved in a motor vehicle accident, suffering life-threatening injuries Feb. '92 while traveling to race at Daytona Bike Week. After a lengthy hospital stay, 3 months of no food or water, being fed intravenously via mainline, I decided to try to race at Laguna Seca.
