Personal History
Hi my name is Jeff Harwood I’m 30 years old I’m from Grayling Michigan. I’ve road dirt bikes for most of my life started racing when I was 10 then ended my young career when I was 15. Reason for putting on hold was my sponsor wasn’t putting out anymore money ( my dad) lol. Graduated at 17 years old moved out to North Dakota and started my life. Bought a 2015 Honda Crf250r while I was out there and ride hundreds of miles of trails. In March of 2018 moved back to the hometown and not even a month living back at home two of my closest buddies were like you gotta come race with us. I was a bit nervous at first I won’t lie but low and behold may 22 2018 I went with them to dirt inc a track I used to race when I was young and as soon as that first gate dropped I was hooked like I was that 10 year old kid again. Since then I’ve been racing every chance I can get.
Riding Goals
Riding goals for me seeing as I’m 30 and love the sport of motocross is #1 don’t get hurt older I get longer the healing process is. #2 have fun with it my two buddies and I have met a lot of great people doing this the last couple years. #3 podium cause who doesn’t love to stand up there and hold a trophy. #4 I want to get extremely good at this sport like I was good when I was young I have a long way to go but it’s a goal of mine and won’t stop till I get there or dang close. Finally #5 I want to be that 60+ year old still racing with the young whipper snappers and sharing my past experiences with them cause I learned a lot over those years of racing and riding.
Competitive Highlights
Don’t really have to long of career highlights. Last year taking 3rd overall in 450c at dirt inc. Taking 2nd overall this year at morelands spring series was an awesome achievement. Racing dirt Inc with a yz 125 and taking 3rd in the 450c was defiantly an achievement. Also raced vet fest down in Buchanan Michigan and took 9th overall in 25+ was killer. Then what got me hooked when I was 10 was racing my first ever race at alpena mortorcycle club and taking first was the best feeling ever.
