Clutchless class - Got the holeshot and lead the first lap. Coming around for lap two passing the start section there was a set of whoops that I tried tackling got through most of the until the last one snuck up on me and took me out. Ragdolled off the bike, ran back hopped on and kept going, A little banged up, but was able to get going without losing a spot. It was cool to hear the crowd cheer me on. I finished first in my class. Such a great feeling to be on the top spot. Working hard to stay up there.

C65 - Goto another great start. Missed the holeshot by a few inches. Pushed hard to get up front, but wasn't able to stay on pace. Caught up to the row in front of us and got hung up with some klx riders that killed my second lap time.  Track was dusty, but my Flowvision goggles helped me see through the dust. Was able to get a podium finish at 3rd place. Super happy to be in the top 3 spot.  Thanks to my sponsors O'NEAL, OGIO, FLOWVISION, DUNLOP, SUNSTAR, ACERBIS, ODI GRIPS, NO TOIL, MOTUL, ASV, SLICK PRODUCTS

Unfortunate issues, but still a good day. In the Clutchless Class I had a bad start, but ended up making moves and was in 1st place by lap one. Then lap 2 hit a tire going through the obstacle course. Bent the shifter completely around the foot peg and was stuck in 3rd gear for the remaining laps. Ended up taking 4th place. I was feeling pretty good, unfortunately I hit a snag. Then on the C65 class, I got a great Lemans start (first time ever doing that, but ended up 2nd coming into turn 1, then made the pass early on and had a clear path. I was leading 1st two laps but ran into trouble when some downed riders ended up taking me down and got stuck in a pile up. I lost a ton of time trying to get back up and started, ended up losing a spot and finishing in 2nd. I was so bummed, I had 1st place but lost it on the last lap. At the end of the day, I was still happy to walk away with a personal best of 2nd place in the C65 class. I have a race coming up, and am looking to get that 1st place

Well, I did pretty good at the Prarie City GP race put on by Polka Dots crew. This was an awesome race for me. I improved a few things and learned a couple things that helped me on my clutchless class race. My first race of the day was on the C65 7-11yr. class. I had a bad start, but that didn't stop me from making a charge from the back of the pack. I raced pretty well, but had a couple of sections where I got caught behind a pack of slower riders. This held me up for a bit until I could find a safe place to pass. This happened on a couple laps. I ended up placing 6th, knowing I can do better. My goal for the next race is to make it on the podium.

For the Clutchless class, I had a great start leading the pack to the first turn, but let off on the gas a little earlier and got passed by two riders. The track was lose and slippery. I focused on being smooth and keeping it on two wheels. I passed both the riders in front of me and was leading for about 5 laps or so.  I had a great battle with my friend. It was difficult to stay in front. The bike was bogging out of turns, I did the best I could to stay up front. At the end of the race I finished in second place. After the race, I let me dad know what was happening to the bike and he confirmed the problem. He's gonna get that fixed. I am excited for the next race. I know I can end up on the top of the box if the bike runs perfect.

I have learned some things in both races that I will use in my future races and am excited to keep learning and getting better as I continue to race.

Looking forward to my first race of the year, but sad that it is on the same day as Oakland Supercross. I am hoping I will be able to race then make it live to Oakland to watch the races live...

2021 Lazy Bumb Hare Scramble - Paicines, CA

On my 110 clutchless class, someone on the right side started off early. Luckily they stopped us at the first turn. We all turned back and lined up. On our second start, I got a really good start and came to the first turn in second place out of 33 riders. After a few turns I got taken out by another rider when I was turning left. The other rider tried sneak in under and caused us to crash. His bars hit my thigh and bruised my thigh. I got back up and followed a few riders which ended up taking a wrong turn causing us not to get the first lap marked as completed. I picked up my speed and was able to make up for some lost time. I went from 19th to 12th and on my last lap ended in 10th. There was a lot of confusion on the scoring because the group I was in ended up taking a wrong turn to do a flagger that sent our pack in the wrong direction causing us to miss checking in on our first lap. After looking at the lap times, there still seems to be some mistakes in the scoring showing me coming in as 10th place when I should be listed as 8th possibly 7th.

See race results here Note: the 7th and 9th place lap times are slower than mine, but because we were flagged into the wrong part of the track several of us riders missed our lap time check-in.

On my c65 class, I got another great start  see video here

I came to the first turn in second but let off the gas a little early which caused me to lose a few spots. I continue to race a round the course until we hit a hill climb. This is where my luck turned. The hill climb was some loose slippery dirt. I got my wheel stuck in the dirt a few time which caused me to lose a lot of time and energy. By the time I came to my first lap time sc

Raced Burrows Ranch out in Orland, CA. This was a dusty fast track. I got a bad start but was able to get some consistent lap times. This was a dry dusty track that had me drifting a lot of turns. I was able to get an 8th place out of 22 riders on my stock bike. My dad said he is going to buy me a Pro Circut pipe and get a couple extras to see if it will help me on my starts.

My 65cc race was really bad. My bike didn't start on the first kick and I was in neutral. I learned something in this race and will not do that again. My first lap I got stuck behind a big pile up because of my bad start. Once I got past that, I was able to pull some great lap times. I know I should be able to break top 10. I will aim to make top ten at the Shasta Dam GP April 17.

My dad upgraded my dirt bike to a 2020 Husqvarna so that I won't have any surprises with the shifter problem. I was able to ride my dirt bike a little bit. The bike is different than my older KTM, but I really like it. I am hoping to do well at the next race coming up. I still need to ride it more. I can't wait!

Raced the District 36 Bear Mountain Hare scramble. The place was rad overlooking New Hogan lake. I had a great race in the clutchless class came in 9th out of 34. Bike ran great and the track was awesome!

My second race was the C-65. I had an awesome start and really loved the track, but at the end of the first lap I hit a snag with my shifter again. It loosened up during the creek crosssing and lost a lot of time. Lucky my dad was right at the spot. The track official was able to put the bike in 2nd and gave him the shifter so I can meet my dad in the pits. Made it to the pits and bolted it back up, but by that time I was already a lap behind. I was able to get back on the track and make up as much as I could. I came in 36 out of 42. Not great but learned to stay calm and control what I can. I had a lot of fun. I am looking forward to the next race.

This week, My Dad and I drive north to MMX in Marysville, CA. Had some troubles locating a shifter to replace the one I lost on my last race. This time I was set for redemption from my last 65cc DNF. We had some issues with a lost package (Shifter) it should have arrived at my house on Friday morning, but there was a mis communication with the post office. Long story short, package was lost, my dad made some calls a talked to several of the postal carriers until a few hours later, it was found. We loaded up the bikes and headed to MMX.

Saturday morning I was up early, made sure my dad tightened up all the bolts and added gas to the KTM65. This track is not my fav. I rolled to the gate and had a bad start due to not having the bike in gear. Lesson learned. The line was stacked with 39 riders in my class. Considering that the track was more supercross style and I never really rode track before, I think I did well. Was a mid pack rider. I just need more time on the tracks to get the hang of the jumps. The good part was I finished the race and learned a few things about myself.

Race #3 was the clutchless 7-11 class. I raced my butt off, had a couple spills but ended 6th.  I got some work ahead of me. I got a good start but was in first instead of second from the start, which made me lose a couple spots trying to shift quickly up to the first turn. All in all I settled for 6th. Have I told ya how much I love my O'neal 10 series helmet? I have a round shaped head. It fits great and feels so good when I am wearing it.

Jan 30 2021

Went up to Fingerlake to race the FastTimes as Fingerlake. It was hosted by MMX Racing.

I was signed up for 65cc 7-11 age group for my first race of the year. Was excited to be able to wear my new O'Neal gear and get on the track. Unfortunately, had a mechanical issue and had to DNF the race. I was stranded far from the pits, had to push the bike back all the way back. It was not fun. As soon as I got back, I had to run down to the starting gate and hop on my TTR110 to race the 7-11 clutchless class. Heart was pumping, I was able to barely make it in time for the start of the race. I loved this track. The conditions were awesome! I had a bad start but was able to work my way past the crowd and earn a hard fought 4th place. Thanks to my sponsor O'Neal for making me look and feel good.
