Personal History
The motorcycles and the stunts have been on my life
since always. When I was 8 months old my dad took
me to ride on his bike around the block where we used
to live.
Back on those years my dad used to jump cars and do
some kind of tricks in a stunts team called the black
eagles, they were some kind of Chileans Evel Kanievel's
but on motocross bikes, so I guess it’s been always
on my ADN. I was always the kid doing dirt hits and
using wood over stones as ramps for my bicycle,
getting a broken nose and a lot of scratches at the
early age of 6.
On the ‘90 Christmas my dad gave me my first 50 c.c.,
and I was always looking to be the one who jumps
farthest and higher, never mind to much about
winning races, until ‘94 when I won my first race and
after that I became obsessive about winning. But you
know, you can’t win without celebrating it, and that’s
how I take this way to FMX, first was one hand, then
was no foot , and now it’s the back flip, funny twist.
On the year ‘99 my family and I move to Brazil where
I have the chance to practice with one of the best
motocross coaches in Rio de Janeiro who gave me
15 min. after every mx practice to jump on a big table
top and try some tricks to get more confidence on
my bike. A couple of year later I met Rudy Waller,
who taught me the basic techniques for freestyle mx
and took me to the states to practice and to do some
shows with him.
Back in Chile I put together a little freestyle mx team
called the Mad Flies but it didn’t work. A couple of years
later my brother joined me with a few friends and we
created a new FMX team called “Actitud FMX”
(FMX attitude).
By the year ‘04 my family moved to the States while
I stayed in Chile with my wife waiting for my son to be born
in the city of Quilpue, where I met a bmx riders team
called “Team Disaster”. These guys became my close
friends and taugth me how to really ride a BMX bike
and have fun doing it, thanks to them I leart 360s,
back flips, how to build a foam pit, and most important
than all that, “Friends are better than money”.
In September of ‘05 I came to the states full of dreams
and the will to get on the best places in any competition,
and since that I have been practicing as much as I can trying to
learn new tricks every practice session.
