Personal History
My name is Jason Escamilla and I am from Anaheim, CA. I’ve been riding for about 2 years. I started on a Honda XR100r. Then I moved to a KX125. I rode that bike for about a year and absolutely loved it. I fell in love with some KTM 125’s/150’s and decided to post my KX125 for sale to get a KTM. I ended up getting a 2015 150sx in july. On my first ride I felt so much better on that bike. I felt faster. I was even clearing jumps I couldn’t jump on the KX125. I felt so happy with that bike. My dad and I seen a lot of improving in just 2 months. Since I felt so comfortable and confident on the bike I wanted to try and take things a bit more far. I was putting in the hard work from July to September. I was so confident to where I wanted to start racing in the start of 2023. Unfortunately on Nov 5th. I cased a step up and ended up breaking my left ankle. I went to the ER and just got a splint. Unfortunately due to so much insurance processing, my ankle got worse. I was finally reffered to a specialist after a week and a half. I was told in order to fix it , it would require surgery. I ended up having the surgery in Nov 18th. I got 1 plate and 9 screws. Now I’m in the process of getting my ankles movement back. A week ago I had 0% and now I have about 10%. I’ve never been so motivated to get back on the bike like now. I can’t wait to get back on the bike and continue my journey in the sport that I love. Soon, I will be racing.
