Personal History

Hello to all,

My name is Jason Payne and I am 36 years old. I started my career in BMX at the age of 8. I pestered my parents about racing and finally got them to take me to the track. My first race I placed 2nd and my thirst for more. I continued in the local tracks and within 2 months I climbed to expert. I gained a full factory sponsor with Diamond back in my first year. My family dedicated thier entire time to my career and traveling to see me WIN. THe next year I was offered a Full Factory sponsor with GT, and I jumped at the chace. I loved GT bikes and gear. That same year I traveled to Las Vegas for the National Championships and placed first in Open Expert. That was my high point in my life. At the age of 13 I wanted to go faster and jump higher so I got into motocross. My first bike was a Honda  85 (wish I could remember the year of the bike). It was fast but I was always working on it. My parents became busy with their careers, so traveling diminished dramatically. I raced when I got the chance, but for the most part I raced around the neighborhood with my friends every day. Time has sire passed by, Now I have a family and 2 kids. My own career started and my life was about dedication to being a firefighter. Now I have been a full time career city firefighter/Paramedic for the last 14 years. Amazing I have always had a dirt bike in the garage and rode when I could. Everytime I rod it was hard and to the edge. Several months ago I was camping and I borroed my buddies 4 stroke Honda. My first time really riding a 4 stroke. I was in heavan, I was going fast and turning hard. My buddie was with me and he use to race as well. Something clicked and I was into racing in a big way. We got home and I began to tear down my 1998 CR250R and redo my engine. Then something happened, I saw a add for brand new 2008 Honda CRF450R half price 3999.99. I tlaked to my wife about it and told her I wanted to race again. The next day she bought me my new CRF450R. She is amazing. Several days later I was on the track and in the zone. Racing again, I am so happy. So here I am, going full bore in the 2010 season. After getting into the grove my buddies said " Hey Jason lets do the Baja 500 in 2010" I said heck yeah lets do it. So we are doing the Baja 500, AMX racing series, Copper State Racing series, and Hare and the Hound series. Lets see what 2010 brings. I am excited and I cant wait to compete once again. I am thirsty to WIN once again.
