Personal History

My name is Jason Monnin and I've been racing dirtbikes since I was 18.  I've been enlisted in the United states Air Force since 2006 but I still ride as much as I can in between deployments.  I have a beautiful wife and 2 year old son.  We all enjoy our family time at the track and I'm looking forward to getting my son into racing in a few years.

Riding Goals

Some of my goals this past year have been just making it to the track.  I'm now stationed in Hawaii and the track is only open on the weekends.  My new work schedule has me working every other weekend so it's hard to find time.  I usually use a few leave days here to go ride.  I've definitely noticed the difference in my endurance on the track going from riding twice a week to twice a month when I got to Hawaii.  I try to run hard and lift at least 3 times a week to keep up my cardio.  It's seems to be working so until I leave I will enjoy the few opportunities I have to enjoy the riding weather and get faster.

Competitive Highlights

I've received a few championship trophies for the season when I raced the DMC circuit in ND and pulled a trophy when I went to Washington for training.  I also managed to pull a trophy my last race before I deployed so I'm pretty happy considering my seat time is very limited.
