Personal History
My name is Jarrod Colvin. I live in Indiana, USA, and by trade I'm a CNC programmer in the orthopedic field. I'm 49 years old and have two children. One daughter, and one son who also rides. I enjoy camping, cooking on my smoker, spending time with my girlfriend and her family, and of course riding my dirt bike. I'm also a club member at the local motocross track, Wabash Cannomball MX.
Riding Goals
I began riding motocross when I was 22 years old on a whim. A friend of mine asked me to ride along with him to pick up the bike he had bought. Long story short, we came home with two brand new 1997 CR125s. Almost immediately I crashed and broke my collarbone. About a year later, in 1998, I dislocated my shoulder and had to sell my bike to pay medical bills. Even with the injuries I knew I couldn't stop riding. In 2002 my father passed away and left me a small amount of money. Just enough to buy a used bike. I got a 1999 YZ125, and I've been riding blue ever since. My current bike is a 2023 YZ250F, Monster Edition. I still get "that rush" every time I get on my bike. At my age, I'm still riding not only for the exercise, but for the thrill and exhilaration that riding motocross. I'm looking forward to moving into the 50+ class next year to do some racing with the other vet guys.
