Results just in... I am the 2014 CMA Novice Crosscountry/Harescramble Champion this year!
I ride many disciplines. Primarily harescrambles and cross countries, but also endurocross and motocross. This time of year, I'm mounting the studs to get out in the snow!
I race off road in two series: CMA (Intermediate) and CMRC (30B). After winning the Novice championship last year, this is my first season in the A-classes. I'm still eligible to ride 30B with CMRC - so I'm hoping for some good results this year!
I am also an active member of my local off-road riding club, the Rocky Mountain Dirt Riders. I volunteer for trail maintenance days and regularly lead guided rides with more junior riders and those who are new to the sport.
I post videos of each race online. Recently my video from the Fallen Timber Harescramble (where I start in nearly last place and finish in second) was picked up by the Second Gear club - organizers of off-road CMA races in Alberta- to promote their next race. >500 views and counting. A second video this season was also picked up and received ~400 views.
Maybe I'm not going viral yet, but those are all views by local racers and riders like myself. My 2015 sponsors are featured prominently in this year's videos!
Riding Goals
I was new to the Novice and 30B classes, so last year's goals included winning at lease one race in each series. Mission accomplished and then some.
Since I get to stay in CMRC's 30B class next year, I would like to place at least top 3 overall. I'll be moving into the A-classes with CMA, so my goal in that series is to win one race.
It may sound presumptuous, but even after I move up to Intermediate with CMA I think I've still got a good chance at winning at least one race. My lap times were already on target last year.

First place the in Porcupine Hills Harescramble in 2013 (and a pretty surprising 23rd overall!), racing beginner class.
