Personal History
Hello, my name is Jared Hood. I am 27 years old. I grew up in the small town of spicer, Minnesota. I am the youngest of 4 siblings, one sister, and two brothers. As long as I can remember I loved being outside riding bike, snowboarding, hunting, fishing, and anything else I could find to do. My family was one to take multiple camping trips in the summer, and hunting trips in the fall. When I was about 6 or 7 I got a chance to ride a cousins dirt bike and fell in love right away. Which led to my dad buying me my first dirt bike. I started out on a pw-80. I raced for about 3-4 years until my parents got a divorce and could no longer afford it.
Just last year I finally bought a dirt bike for myself, and quickly remembered how much I enjoyed being on a bike. I wanted to ease into it so I did a lot of recreational riding on practice tracks and public trails. I also raced a few small races at a track I use to race at. I knew right away next year (2019) I wanted to get back into ama motocross. So I got the membership and started getting ready.
Riding Goals
I am a very competitive person that loves racing. My main goal is to learn as much as I can about riding and end the year a better rider then I was at the start. Better starts, better control, better corner speed, and better jumping.
Competitive Highlights
I am currently 4th in the +25C class in our district races
