Personal History
I am the oldest of three children and am from Labadie, MO. My parents got me a PW 50 to ride in the yard for my 3rd birthday. I rode circles and built jumps any time my parents would let me. I grew up going to the Washington Town and Country Fair every August. The last day of the fair is always motocross. When I was 6 I got the urge to ride on a motocross track. I asked my parents if I could go to a track instead of getting a present for my 7th birthday. They said yes! Before I even went, I had another question - do you think I can race at the fair this year? That was just the beginning.
We showed up to the fair race at 7 years old on a PW50 after practicing at a local track just three times. I couldn't believe what I saw when I saw the Cobra 50s! I took 5th place that day but knew I needed a Cobra!
My parents got me a Cobra and my mom began searching for local races. She found Lincoln Trail Motorsports just a little less than three hours from us. Tracks had been closed due to Covid, but LTM announced a practice and a race before the Loretta Lynn Super Regional. We went to the practice and showed up for the race before the qualifier. Holy cow! I couldn't believe what I saw. I had never seen so many dirt bikes and rigs. It was my 4th race ever and I was at the biggest race LTM had ever hosted! Not to mention it was a mudder!
I was hooked and so was my family. Being new to the racing scene, especially after Covid, it was tough for my mom to find races, but after hours and hours of nightly searching, she found lots of races and practices. Now we travel as a family with our enclosed trailer, doubling as our camper, all across the nation. In one year I raced in at least 10 states. My sisters love being at the track and my youngest sister even wants to start racing. My younger cousin has started racing as well. I have so much support from my family! My grandparents even come watch me as much as they can!
I go to public school and my parents both have jobs that don't allow for much travel - my mom is a high school math teacher and my dad paints cars. My mom can get me to lots of races in the summer months, but when my parents can't get me to a Friday practice day, my Aunt Katie takes me. I am so thankful.
I am a hard worker and have a positive attitude on and off of the track. There have been so many families that complement me to my parents because they appreciate how I help their younger riders. The dad of one of the fast 50 racers at our LTM series says his son is fast because of the help I gave him.
At school there have been times when I had to deal with some bullying and didn't always fit in because I don't do the traditional school sports on the weekends. My parents always told me to be proud of who I am and be true to myself and hopefully eventually I would have a positive impact on other people. They were right!
Motocross is more than a sport to me. It has become a lifestyle for me and my family. I help as much as I can with things at home so that we can go racing. I wash bikes, load and unload, cut grass at home, and help with whatever other things that need to be done. I know it is expensive so I also started cutting grass and doing yard work and snow removal for neighbors to make money.
Riding Goals
All I think about is riding. My ultimate goal is to race Supercross for a living.
This year I want to keep improving on my 85. Hopefully my parents can get me one that is a mod 85 because I have only raced stock bikes in any class I have ever raced in.
My goal is to have podium finishes at LTM, top 10 finishes at more nationals, and make it to Loretta Lynn's again!
