Personal History
I've been riding motorcycles since I was a child. My father dominated racing up and down the state of California, riding for both AMA and CMC. I never really had the opportunity to race until about 13 years ago, where I went from beginner up to 40+ expert, riding at PIR, Washougal, Mountain View MX, and Albany, Oregon. I stopped riding and racing about 6 years ago when I took a job in Sydney Australia. When we returned from Australia, I was very overweight and out of shape. My brother and I bought 2 new Honda 2018 CRF450Rs and started to ride the local practice tracks until I felt comfortable on the bike. I've started over as a beginner because I let myself go and needed time to get my skills honed again. I am improving every race and I typically ride 2 classes, now 40+ and 50+.
Riding Goals
My goals for the 2019 and 2020 are to continue to get in shape and improve as a rider. My ultimate goal is to Qualify for Loretta Lynns Amateur National and be in the top 5. I'm currently riding at tracks where a few of the riders have made it to, and won, their classes at Loretta's, so my goal is to pace and ultimately out perform them.
Competitive Highlights
I don't mind the jumps, but typically take my time sizing them up before hitting them. I'm fearless when it comes to going fast on just about any terrain and track condition, outside of muddy wet clay. I like to think that my endurance and determination are what win me races, but it is also about enjoying riding and the friendships made, even with my track rivals.
