Rider Updates

After 2 years of racing in the A class of off-road racing, I have really stepped up my racing game with the awesome help of SteveHatchracing.com, he has been a great inspiration and has helped me out alot over this last year alone. I struggled my first year in the A class every race, I had a bad start to the 2014 season in the A class as well, I finally relaxed and came into the zone after a few rounds and have climbed my way to the top of podium to take the championship at the penultimate round of the 2014 season.
Without the help of all of my sponsors and supporters, there is noway I could have made it to this point in my racing program/career.
Now, I'm off to race in the AA/Pro class for the 2015 race season, wish me luck.

GNCC Loretta Lynns race/trip report
From the start, I threw out the idea to Lee just in a joking manner, then, it turned into serious thought and consideration. We did some research and decided this is something we’re doing for sure. Loretta Lynn’s apparently has a lot of meaning to most folks, to me, it meant nothing more than just another race event, I had no idea the history behind the name L.L. and the motorcycling industry.
We had some help in getting there this year (thank you very much to all who helped), I was lucky enough to find a few gracious people to help fund a portion of our trip, 1 plane ticket, 2 hotel rooms for 2 nights, $100 for fuel and we were out of pocket for the balance of the trip. At Enterprise, I use my “corporate company account info for a rental car, they try to put us in a Fiat 500, LOL yeah right, for 4 people and our gear? Lee decided to drive our bikes and gear as we only need minimal items, after all, they offered no practice so no extra fuel was needed, we only used a few tools, our bikes were prepped and should need nothing once we arrive to race. Lee was driving, myself, my g/f and Lee’s son were all flying, Forrest (Lee’s son) who is attending Baylor University could not be home until Thursday evening so our plane left IAH at 7:05 am Friday, we rented a car in Nashville and drove to Hurricane Mills, TN to meet Lee at L.L.’s ranch.
As we arrive, we park/pit directly behind the Factory KTM big rig, a really impressive set up they have, a huge truck and trailer (as one would expect) a huge canopy covering there working area, rubber ground covering, tool boxes set up for each mechanic and bike, a full service rig, with a fueling station and pressure washer for the bikes when they get dusty. As we walk down the “Pro pit” area, we see most of the manufactures rigs set up in line, KTM had by far the nicest pit area on the row. Most of these bikes were just

TORCS Abbott Ranch race report!
I had been looking forward to this race all week long, Brandt D was gracious enough to allow me the use of his toyhauler for the weekend, which worked out great, the race was a solid 2 hr drive one way (Thanks Brandt). I purchased a new 2013 KTM 200 XC-W 2 stroke, it’s been 5 years since I had rode a 2 stroke bike, I picked it up on Saturday, (didn’t ride it at all) dropped it off on Monday with JM Racing Suspension to have them install my Rekluse clutch and my lowering kit, those guys again did a top notch job, the bike felt great suspension wise and the clutch is perfect..
Friday after work, I spent much of the evening (till 11:30) gathering last minutes needs, loading up gear and food into the trailer, got a shower, went to be excited to ride the new bike, couldn’t fall asleep till sometime after 2 am. Woke up at 5 am to load the bikes, tools, fuel and the rest of the necessary needed items to go racing with. Hit the road right at 6 am, headed to Halletsville, TX, about an hour South of Columbus, great, I am driving a diesel truck pulling a 22’ trailer and getting 8.6 mpg (fk me).. had to stop for fuel when I exited I-10 just in case. Arrived at the property right at 8 am, first practice (for the g/f) starts are 8:40 so we had limited time to get parked, unloaded and geared up, by the time all of this happens, bikes are out on the course practicing already.. Running out of time, she decides to skip practice and wait for the race, going in blind is sometimes the best way to race. Little did we know, the whole course is nothing but sand, I mean 100% of the course is sandy.. At race time, she lines up in her designated row, serious intense look in her eyes, then the flag drops, she takes off and runs her 45 minute race to finish up in 5th place, not too bad considering the sand was murderous to ride, especially for a beginner..
Come to big bike practice, Lee and I are ready to g

I have had a great year of racing in the 2012 season, I have learned so much at each and every race, I am always improving on my fitness and my race results and finishes.
I plan to continue racing each and every event with TORCS, TXORR, TRH for the remainder of the year, some weekends will be filled with driving to multiple locations and cities for racing action with different race organizations.
Also, I plan to attend and race the GNCC hare scramble at Lorreta Lynns Ranch in November of 2012.
Thank you to all of my sponsors for your help this year.
