Personal History
My name is Jamal Brinkley and I am 12 years old. I am in the 7th grade with a 3.6 GPA; I also play the alto sax in the school band. I LOVE dirt bike riding and racing. I am currently in the middle of a race series with MX Racer where I am currently in First place in the 85cc 12-13 beginner class. I have competed in three series with MX Racer. My first time competing was in 2009 and I placed 2nd in that series. Then in 2010 I competed in the 85cc 12-13 beginner class and placed 2nd in this series also. I am currently in the middle of my 3rd series as mentioned above. During some of the off weeks when I am not racing MX Racer I race Friday Night Lights at Milestone MX park. I raced Friday Night Lights three times and won 2 First place plaques and 1 Third place plaque in the 85cc beginner class.
Riding Goals
In the next MX Racer series I will be moving up to the 85cc 12-13 Novice class. How I do in the Novice class will determine if I do big races next year like the World Minis in Vegas and Texas. So I am hoping to do well in the Novice class.
Competitive Highlights
Back in the 2010 in the 85cc 12-13 beginner class I kept getting second to this one kid. That all changed during the last lap of the last race of the series. When the white flag came out for my competitor, who I was right directly behind, he came off the track early for some reason. I kept moving at a fast speed, and even though he realized his mistake immediately and returned to the track he was not able to catch me. I won that race and that was my first heat win of the series and my first overall win, I was really happy.
