Personal History

Racing is an amazing, challenging, exciting sport and I am ready to embrace it. I would like to take a few minutes of your time to introduce myself and to explain why I am a good candidate for sponsorship for your company.   My name is Jake Oswald and I am 23 years old. I currently ride a 2012 Honda CRF250 and CRF450R. I started riding motocross ten  years ago.  Since I started racing I have fallen in love with it.  I practice all the time and I put all of my heart and energy into the sport.  I began riding after my sister took me to the races at a local track and I watched other riders riding around and it looked like a lot of fun. in 2001 my parents bought me a 2001 Yamaha YZ85 and I took to the motocross track. Since then I have moved up through all the different skills levels and classes. It is not an easy thing but with a lot of hard work and dedication I put into I am a current AMA pro rider.

I currently race the Supercross class (450) AMA SX series and Motocross class (450) AMA outdoor motocross series. Sharing a quick recap of my 2011 season with you. I competed in the 2011 AMA supercross series I was able to compete in 15 of the 17 race series. I made 3 night programs which wasn't what I expected from myself. The previous year in 2010 I made 7 night programs. I struggled with not being able to practice during the week due to my heel bothering me throughout the year which I broke at the end of November in 2010. After Supercross was over I raced several local races and also competed in TSCO Vegas to Reno the longest off-road race in the united states in Auguest. I won the Expert Iron Man class finishing the race in just under 12 hours of non stop riding and racing across 550 miles in the desert. In the month of September I tried to qualify for the final round of the AMA motocross series at Pala, CA. I was unable to make the fast 40 but gained a lot of knowledge of what I need to work on.

Riding Goals

I am currently located in Cairo, GA at (GPF) Georgia Practice Facility training and riding supercross getting ready for the 2012 season. I have plans to race one if not two of the first four AMA arenacross races in the arenacross/arenacross lites class which start at the end of October and end in December. I will also travel to Las Vegas, NV to race the Privateer Supercross Challenge on November 12 at Boulder City MX. I will then travel to California to in A Day In The Dirt 2011 at Pala Raceway, CA on November 26-27. My goals for 2012 AMA Supercross are to make every night show this coming year in the supercross class (450).
