Visually Impaired Racer and Moto Dad
My name is Jake, and I'm 30 years old. I am visually impaired and am legally blind. Moto is the only sport I've ever been able to really compete in as ball sports never worked because of my lack of vision. How am I able to do Moto? If you want the honest answer, I truly don't know. I work as hard as I possibly can, because while I cannot overcome my lack of vision, I can overcome other things like focus, maturity, and strength. My son is 13 and also races competitively, and it's only a matter of time until he becomes faster than me! It's a family ordeal, and we all love it!
Riding Goals
I want to show the world how amazing and inclusive our sport is, and while I may not ever reach a crazy fast speed level, show kids and people not to let anything hold you back from living your dream. I’m Jacob Haley, the Blind MX’er, thanks for supporting my dream.
