Personal History
I grew up riding an old Honda CB 50 that my father and I "turned" in to a dirt bike. Well, he put an enduro tire on the back and I did the rest by knocking off the mirrors, turn signals, and headlight. I rode the heck out of that thing. That was it for me until 2004 when I decided to get a street bike. I purchased a 2004 GSXR 1000 and took to the streets riding with my friends. That year, I completed one partial track day and knew I was hooked. I purchased a GSXR 750 during the winter and signed up for my full first track day and performance riding school in May of 2005. By noon I was dragging my knee on the ground and two months later I was road racing. I began 2006 as an expert racer. I had my trusty GSXR 750 and a SV 650 superbike. Through my rookie season, I won 12 races and placed on the podium 17 times. I won the 650 superbike championship and placed on the podium in several other categories. During my road racing career, I took up dirt bike riding for fun. After a successful road racing career and getting married, I have slowed down and bit and have come back to dirt bike riding as a family past time. It didn't take long for the competitive side of me to get going again remembering that I thrive on competition on two wheels.
Riding Goals
After playing around on the dirt bike for the past couple of years and completing two races for fun this year, I have decided to partake in the entire 2014 Off-Road racing series in the Northwest as a Vet racer. My 2014 goals are to become better on the dirt bike and to place in the top five overall for the season and maybe even win a race or two.
