Personal History
My name is Jake Worth, I am 16 years of age and live in Mudgee which is situated in the Central West Region of NSW and has a population of around 10 000. I am the eldest of 4 boys, my 2 younger brothers also enjoy motorcross. My family have just purchased property and we are in the process of building our own practice track.
I am a highly motivated and goal driven individual having represented my Club, School, Region and State in Swimming, Athletics, Cross-Country, Rugby Union & Rugby League.
I have been riding motorbikes since the age of 5 but my first exposure to motocross was in 2010 after moving to Mudgee from Western Austalia and becoming members of the Mudgee & Districts Motocross Club. I owned a hand-me-down Honda CR85 but was soon suprised by my parents with a new Honda CRF150 and have been racing it ever since. In December 2011 I received sponsorship from Mudgee Kawasaki with a race plan which allowed me to step-up to the Junior Lites class on a KX250F.
Since joining the Club I have consistently improved. Since receiving sponsorship I have made a committment to motocross only and have given up all other sports to concentrate soley on becoming the best I can be at motocross. My training plan involves racing every weekend, attending regular riding schools, regular training and gym sessions 4 times a week to support my training on the bike. I am currently holding first place in the Central West Series.
Riding Goals
The reason i took up the sport of motocross was because i enjoyed being on the bike, Once i started racing i started to enjoy riding a whole lot more, this was because i enjoyed all the new aspects of racing such as mentoring junior riders, being mentored by senior riders and the social side.
