Personal History

I started riding motorbikes at the age of 3 and by the time I was 5 I started racing at the local motocross track. I continued racing up until I was 10 and stopped due to certain rules being brought in. I still continued to trail ride with my dad and friends for many years until I went and watched my dad in the South Australian Off Road Championship in 2011. After watching this race I fell in love with enduro and wanted to give it a go myself. In 2012 I entered my first SAORC event in the Junior Women’s class and loved it. I have now competed in the series every year since and am now in the Senior Women’s All Powers class. Due to my love of the sport I also decided to get back into the motocross series last year and both in my local town of Mount Gambier and Adelaide also.

Riding Goals

My goals in racing and riding is to be able to get to ride and race as many events as possible. I always want to focus on improving my technique and style and love getting quicker each time I get out and have a crack. I have a very competitive nature which I believe helps me while racing as I am not scared to get out there and have a go. I have now moved to Adelaide this year due to University commitments which means that I will now be closer to many of the events both for motocross and enduro so hopefully I can increase in the amount of events I compete in.

Competitive Highlights

In regards to my competitive history in the sport, in my first season of the South Australian Off Road Championship whilst racing in the Junior Woman’s Class I came away with 1st outright for the series after 7 rounds. The next year I progressed up to the Senior All-powers Women’s Class and again after 7 rounds of races I managed to come 2nd outright. I then got the same result for the next year due to not being able to attend all of the race meetings due to commitments with year 12. In 2015 I again raced the SAORC and also decided to race the motocross season in my home town of Mount Gambier. In this year I came away again with second in the SAORC and after about 8 rounds of the motocross against a field of about 15 girls I came away with a 1st outright. This year I have only competed in the first 2 rounds of the SAORC and have also competed in one round of the Australian Off Road Championship also. In these events I came away with two seconds in the SAORC and managed to come 6th in the Australian series. With the next round coming up on the 26th of June in Clare I am hoping to increase my intensity and come away with a win.
