Personal History
Hi, My name is Jake OBrien,I am 13 years old and have been riding for 4 years and have been racing for 3 years. I am part of the Springfield Motocycle Club, NETRA, and the AMA. My first bike was a Yamaha PW80. Riding my PW80, I learned how to ride a dirt bike and I found a sport and hobbie I love.
A year after(2004) my parents surprised me with a brand new 2003 Kawaski KX65. I started racing at Winchester Speed Park in New Hampshire and in 2005 got 8th place in the spring series 65c class.In 2006 I took a year long break from racing. In November 2006 my dad brought me to my first Jr. enduro race. (My dad is an experienced rider and raced NETRA junier enduros in the early 90's, He also won a Junior class championship. My dad tought me how to ride and race.)I got 1st place in the mini C class! I liked racing enduros so after the race I decided I wanted to race off-road races (enduro, hare scramble, and GNCC) rather than motocross and supercross.
In a month I sold my 65 to get a 2004 Honda CR85. In 2007 I raced almost all the NETRA Jr. Enduros but had missed the top 10 championship results by 2 spots. The next year I moved up from the miniC class to the mini B class and Then to the mini A class! for 2008 I got 8th place in the 2008 NETRA Jr. Enduro series in the mini class!

Riding Goals
For this year I am moving up to the C 200 class for the 2009 NETRA Hare Scrambles season. I will be racing my 2006 Husqvarna cr125. My goal for next year is to be in the top 5 in the c125 class.
Competitive Highlights
- I have a 5th place medal from Winchester Speedpark in 2005.
- I also have gotten one or two 4th place finishes at winchester speed park but have forgotten to get my trophy.
- I have gotten 7 place in the 2005 spring series championship in the 65 C class
- 1st place in the mini C class at the Jack Frost Jr. Enduro in 2006
- 4th place in the mini B class at the Mudslinger Jr. Enduro in 2007
- 1st place in the mini B class at the Dam Good Jr. Enduro in 2007
- 2nd place in the mini B class at the Firecracker Jr. Enduro in 2007
- 2nd place in the mini B class at the Hard Knox Jr. Enduro in 2007
- 3rd place in the mini A class at the Heavenly Hollow Jr. Enduro in 2008
- 3rd place in the mini A class at the Pilgrim Pride Jr. Enduro in 2008
- 3rd place in the mini A class at the Hard Knox Jr. Enduro in 2008
- 2nd place in the mini A class at the Roosting Rhody Jr. Enduro in 2008.
