Personal History
Hello,
My name is Jacob and I grew up watching supercross and motocross since I could remember. I played ice hockey growing up through college and didn’t dirt bike much besides a couple times a year on private property with a rm80 big wheel my dad got from a work buddy. After moving back home after school I really started getting into riding and bought a big bike. Started off with ORV trails, but eventually ended up on tracks for practice then a couple years later to race mx and arenacross. I am 32 now and as obsessed as ever in the sport and looking to move to that next level, which would be B class in my case and be in the mix. Starting later in life has it’s downsides, but I am having so much fun and will never get burnt out at this stage.
Riding Goals
I ride because I grew up watching the sport without a real opportunity to give it a shot. I have 4 brothers and dirt bikes weren’t really an option growing up and getting even the one we did have was a blessing. After college and moving out, I was able to get a new bike and take it more seriously. This year I would like to develop more technical skills that allow me to go to a track and tackle all the jumps safely. I feel confidence in my bike and skill level will let me do that and take me to the next level. i would like to try some lorettas qualifiers this year to see where I stand. Next year I want to ultimately be a B level rider as I have been racing C class races for about 5/6 years.
Competitive Highlights
I guess the easiest measurable achievements come from race results. I went from back of the pack in open C to fighting for podiums in the last two years in vet sport and 30+B/C classes. Pretty much every race I have done the last two years I have walked away with a plaque between 1st and 5th. I also tried the local mxr arenacross series last year did fairly well there as well.
