Personal History
My name is Jacob Berger, I'm 16 years old and I've been on a bike since I was 2. It was a Yamaha pw50 that we still have. My dad has always had a love for bikes too and has been riding since he was in his teens but would've sooner if he had the money and support. He has been working hard to support my racing and encourages and wants to see me be a fast, knowledgeable, and respectable rider. My dad, brother and I have type 1 diabetes which can make the sport much more difficult at times, but we try our best. I have 2 siblings. My 13 year old brother and 5 year old sister, and mom and dad of course. My father is basicly my motorcycle mentor. He teaches me basic care from oil,and air filter changes, to keeping my bike clean and how to change tires and ect. I also know quite a bit about the motors themselves. We keep up most care of our equipment. I didn't race for about six years because my dad bought a truck and was trying to buy a house of our own and we just didnt have the time at the moment. My last race was on a 65 when I was 10 in Dickinson ND. It was my first 1st place trophy. Then I started back again on a 250 this fall. Only got in one race but its a start to a whole new beginning. Its been tough but i got 3rd in 450B and 4th in 250B on a 09 rmz 250. Not too bad for not racing in 6 years i thought. Then we bought a 2019 yz250f in October. Its going to be my new race bike since it will be much easier to compete with all the new technology. But a little more about myself. I enjoy hunting, fishing, semi trucks, diesel engines, mechanicing, snow boarding, snowmobiling, and especially motocross, or anything that has wheels or goes fast. Lots of outdoor stuff. I'm at an intermediate level of riding at the moment. On my bike class, it shows its a 2018. Its not. They don't have 19s available in the systems yet. I know im not perfect ( nobody is of course ) but i will try to do my best at all things i can and what i have mentioned. I can make promises about everthing but i will try to the best of my ablities to do what is asked and expected from me from all fellow racers, sponsors, companies, ect. Much thanks, Jacob.
Riding Goals
My goals in motocross are to become a fast, knowledgeable, respectable, And an all round, down to earth good guy who cares about the motocross industry. I know it might be a little late for ama racing or supercross but that don't mean I still can't do it. I'm always striving to be a better racer. This year plan on winning A class at my local track and getting better from there. I would like to win at most of my small regional races. A bigger goal is to win a pro national in the upcoming years or sooner if possible. I have also been building and riding on my own track on our ranch with the only available equipment I have right at the moment ( a skid loader ) but I try my best. I would like to get sponsored to help me become a better and faster racer and to learn more about the industry and motorcycles. If it was able to save me some money, I could afford more parts to help me be a successful rider and to be able to attend more races. Much thanks, Jacob
