Personal History
My name is Jack Seidel. I love to motorcross race! Actually, I love to go fast and all the time. As it turns out, I got lucky….so do my Dad and brother. Motorcross racing is something we all do together. I have a sister also. Sarah rides horses and is just as competitive. Right now, I’m laid up with a broken foot. So, my mom bought me a Playstation motorcross game! That is as close as I can get for a few weeks. I also play baseball ,I’m a pitcher…with an awesome arm!(can you tell my mom is helping write this?) and basketball(this helps me coordinate my long legs and big feet and keeps me busy during the off season). Just like my Dad, my brother and my sister I am competitive. Last year was my first year racing motorcross. I like to race those guys that are better than me, it pushes me to give my all and helps to keep my goal in sight. My dad says if you are always competing against guys at your level you never have a chance to get better, because there is no pressure.
I raced BMX for a few seasons. I had to start out at the bottom there and quickly worked my way up the top 3 kids in Missouri in the intermediate class. I switched to dirtbikes and began riding hairscrambles on a KLX 110, I then switched to a KX 65(long legs, big feet…remember). After a season of hairscrambles I started racing motorcross. I have an awesome RM 85 and know that I will have to work my way up to the top in my class just like I did in BMX.
Well, until I can ditch this cast and get back on that bike…I’m going to go watch some racing!
