Personal History

Back in 1996 was a trail rider, not a racer.  After a move to MN I found no trails but found plenty of tracks to get in some riding time.  I have been hooked ever since.  At that time and in the following years I wasn't the typical rider at 6'4" and 300 pounds,  but I had passion!  After having a few children along with growing financial responsibilities, I had to sell my bike in 2006.  In 2010, I took my family to the Millville MX National and it reignited my passion for the sport.  My wife said it was nice to see that spark in me again.  So, in March of 2011 I got myself back on a bike after a long 5 years!  By that time I had learned much about nutrition and fitness and had dropped over 100 pounds!  I went from a mid pack C-class racer 5 years earlier to winning my first race back.  It felt amazing!  It was time to move up to B-class.  I worked hard, practiced hard, and continued my new healthy lifestyle.  I have now won a local series championship and and am a strong competitor in the District 16 races.  Racing has become my family's favorite way to spend the summers together.  I have 4 sons, ages 7-12,  that are now motocross monsters. In 2013 they will be racing the 125Jr, 85Jr, and 65 class.   My wife even got out on the track (just for fun) in the Mom's on Mini-Quads and took a first place!  Motocross has become a very important part of my family's life.
I am 38 years old, married for 13 years, and a father of 4 boys.  I work at a paper mill and own a small construction business.  I love to hunt, love my family, and love motocross!

Riding Goals

My goals include qualifying for the Loretta Lynn Nationals and repeat my Xmas Family MotoSports Championship.  I would also like to finish in the top three of the District 16 Series.  Also, I would like to see my boys' racing skills continue to improve so they can have the confidence to race and complete an entire series.  Maybe my wife can win the Mom's on Mini-Quads again!

Competitive Highlights

In the early years of my career I was a mid pack C-class rider and have progressed to the top of the B-class.  The highlights of the past few years have been winning several District 16 races and a Xmas Family MotoSports Series Championship.  It feels great to be considered a competitive racer among my fellow racers.
