Personal History
This year, I lined up for the first time in over five years -- and fell back in love. I've had a deep passion for motorcycles since the age of four, but needed to step away from racing in 2017 after I made the decision to go to college. I was horribly jealous of my friends that were still racing, but I am proud to say I have a Bachelors and Masters degree in Finance -- graduating with 3.91 and 3.94 GPA's respectively. Despite my impressive early corporate success, and after two years in the workforce, I got the itch again... I started riding more in 2022-2023 to escape my stressful work-life/city-life, bought a 4K Sony camera, re-connected with my old camera man who just got out of the Navy, and rejoined the motocross community. By the time 2023 ended, I had a brand new 2024 GasGas MC250 in my garage - with steep racing ambitions.
This year, I moved in with who I now consider a brother -- Joseph Werner (FC Supported Rider). Joe has been racing extensively the past three years through the JDay Offroad, P27, and TOR offroad racing series', which I'm sure you are all aware of. It was definitely a gradual return year -- and this was the perfect blend of high intensity and endurance racing to figure out what I missed most about competing. Of course, I hit some local Motocross races as well through Metropolitan Sports Committee, D34, and NESC. The results were better than I ever expected, but having this sport back in my life was even more important. With that, I re-found myself, re-found my people, and restored my well-being.
Thanks to those around me, and all the people I've met this year, I'm officially back - for good. This year, I plan to return with even greater ambitions -- and have even more fun doing it.
