Personal History

My dad bought me my first bike when we were stationed at Camp Pendleton California.  He started taking me to Ocotillo Wells SVRA to do some riding on the desert trails.  On one weekend trip out we noticed that they had built a small track for bikes that were 70cc and smaller.  It was at that moment that I was hooked.  I still enjoyed going to the desert, but from then on we spent most of our time bouncing between the tracks at Amago MX Park, Milestone MX Park and Lake Elsinore MX Park.  I just enjoyed being able to ride and spend time with my dad doing something we both love to do.  On one trip to Milestone we noticed they were prepping the track for a night race.  My mom asked me if I wanted to try it out.  I finished out that series at Milestone placing 3rd overall.  My dad found out that they were about to start a series at Lake Elsinore and since that was closer to our home we decided to go check it out.  I raced the 2008 summer series there placing 2nd overall.  The Marine Corps gave my dad orders to Camp Lejeune North Carolina.  I was really bummed about leaving an area that was so big on MX racing.  When we get to NC we find out that there are several tracks within an hour from our home.  I soon began racing in the Southern Motocross Series here.  I finished my first series with SMX taking first place in the 50cc 4-6 class and missed taking the points champion award by 2 points for the year.  For the 2010 SMX series it was a little hard for me as my dad was only able to come to my first two races before he was deployed to Afghanistan.  He gave my mom a crash course in bike mantainence and got on the plane with his fingers crossed!  He was really nervouse as the series was 25 races and this was going to be a side of racing that my mom had yet to deal with.  She and I handled things alright.  I raced in the 50cc 7-8 class.  I was the youngest rider competing in that class in SMX.  I finished out the series in first place also taking the points champion award.  I was dubbed the "Holeshot King" and "Fastest on a 50" by all of the older kids and adults that competed in the series.  I not only try to do my best when at the track but also when I am at school.  I am in the second grade and I am above grade level in math and reading.  I also do well with my writing and spelling.  I just really like math!  My teacher also suggested to my mom that I try out for the Chess team at my school.  I like racing in the local series here because I get to see my track buddies at school too.  My principal even allowed me to give a presentation on MX racing and the safety precautions that you have to take.  I was really nervous to do it because I gave the presentation in front of our entire student body.  Now they all know how fun this sport can be and that you have to be safe when riding a dirt bike.  They also got to see why I love this sport so much!!
