Personal History
My name is isaac shields im 18 years old and im from bedford indiana. i have been riding since i was like 5 or 6 but just in the past couple of years have been getting into racing. i have rod many local events in the past 2 years and last year was my first year to really do some good. i won 5 of 6 races at my local track (stone city ranch raceway) and i placed third at my first ever hare scramble. so it turned out to be a really good year for me. i have been training hard all winter by lifting weights, running on my treadmill, and riding whenevr possible with indiana weather! i hope to have an excelent upcoming year!! I WOULD ALSO LIKE TO THANK THE COMPANIES THAT HAVE ALREADY DECIDED TO BACK ME FOR '08 (STEEL MX OPTICS, GAERNE BOOTS, DUNLOP TIRES, AND ASV INVENTIONS) I HOPE TO REP THEM AT THE HIGHEST LEVL POSSIBLE THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR THE SUPPORT!
Riding Goals
The 2008 race season is getting ready to start for me this upcoming weekend (march 29 and 30th) it sohuld have started 2 weeks ago but due to super bad rainand snow all around indiana it has been impossible! i will be riding 3 loretta lynns qualifiers this year starting with echo valley mx park on march 29th and 30th and then podium one mx the next weekend and hangtime mx park the following weekend. i will also be riding a ponca city qualifier at podium one mx but i am unsure of the date yet. i still plan to ride as many local events as possible including stone city ranch raceway and hoosier hilltoppers! i hope to qualify for ponca or lorettas and if not atleast win some races and have a overall good injury free season!!
Competitive Highlights
i have finished third in my first ever hare scramble race in the big bike class which was held by indiana XC racing. i also rolled through the season at my local tracks relatively untouched wining 6 of 7 races in the 125c class. i plan to locally race 125b this upcoming year and at the nationally level hopefully be riding the mx lites C mod class! this past season has left me with an unbelievably amount of confidence which will hopefully lead me to qualify for lorettas and possibly even ponca city!!
