Personal History
My name is Hunter Southwood, I am 23 and from Mid-east Ohio. My wife and I live on her family farm with our dog running cattle, show horses and lots of other farm animals. I am a college instructor at our local college, and I teach Diesel technology. We love living on the farm and living in the outdoors.
Riding Goals
I have always wanted to race dirt bikes but was never sure how to get started into it. Growing up we never had the newest bike or the nicest bikes. One of my traits is being able to make some great out of something that’s not. I stopped riding for about 6 years focusing on career and my now wife. We are to a point now where we are trying to enjoy life together and follow our dreams. Riding dirt-bikes was one of my dreams to continue onto our kids one day. So, in turn I have been riding a lot over the past year and a half and have done a few local races. I have recently purchased another bike, and I am going to ride a local race series with a couple different races from other series as well to fill the space in between. For this year I want to be the best that I can and push myself to the finish line every race.
Competitive Highlights
I do things in life that I love. When I complete an accomplishment, I never used to see the value with in it that everyone else seen. I have grown to see that I have accomplished a lot of things in my life. With some big accomplishments are: 2 associates degrees (1 in HVAC and 1 in Diesel Tech), I’ve worked for Cummins corporation (one of the largest diesel manufacturers in the world), I have built a couple trucks from the ground up, I have a beautiful wife and the best dog there is. These are a few accomplishments that make me the person I am.
