Personal History

I grew up in Oklahoma and Texas. I started riding at the age of 5. Started out on a PW50. I can remember vividly how scared I was. But once that initial fear was over I knew I was supposed to do this.

I continued to ride until I was 15. Then those teenage years took over and I stopped riding until I was 30. In between those years I found a wife and had 3 beautiful daughters. Started a career in Land Surveying and went to Oklahoma State. Then I got the urge to ride. I went to the local shop and bought a bike.

This past year I started riding and again and immediately signed up for the first round of OCCRA.

Riding Goals

In the 2023 season I raced the OCCRA (Oklahoma Cross Country Racing Association) series on a Husqvarna FX450 and took 3rd overall in my class. This next 2024 season I'm moving up to XC3 on the same 22' FX450. With how I preformed this last season I'm know I'll be able to be competitive and fight for that XC3 championship.

I ride. I love to ride. When you're on that bike, going 30 mph through trees that are feet apart, it makes everything go away. It's just you and the bike. Complete silence. Clarity.

The ultimate goal is to race GNCC and make a career out of this.

Competitive Highlights

Throughout this 2023 season, the biggest accomplishment is getting an overall 3rd place in the Championship. It's not winning but the feeling you get knowing you can improve and beat these other guys. The passion and drive to fight for those 90 minutes.

The real accomplishment is raising these 3 girls. Showing them what hard work and dedication is and setting the example that will empower them to be someone. Do something.
