Personal History

My name is Hunter Barnes, I am 14 Years old (will be 15 in March '25) and I just started racing Motocross in March 2024. During that time I have learned so much on and off the track. My mother is a single mom that has worked two jobs to make my dreams come true and I would love nothing more than be able to help offset some of the expenses when it comes to pursuing my passion. She works 6 days a week and uses her only day off to take me to races or practice riding and even trainings.

I have been in love with Motocross/Supercross since I was 4 years old when my mom turned on the Supercross race and I never took my eyes off the TV the whole time. Cooper Webb is from my hometown and has been an idol to me from a young age. Watching him pursue his dreams only pushes me harder.

Riding Goals

To continue to improve with each ride, I have already learned so much in such a short period and hope to continue improving my skills, mindset and athleticism. Motocross is just as much mental as it is physical and I can only hope to be better with each ride and never become complacent. This year I will be riding primarily my YZ125, I have a lot to learn since I started riding late in life and had to move up before I was ready from my KTM 85cc.

Riding has become the best thing that has ever happened to me, when I am riding nothing else matters, just me and the track. It has given me and my mom a great way to spend time together doing what we love.
