Personal History
I am a 13 male that enjoys riding dirt bikes. My step dad rode all his life and I have tried to follow in his footsteps. In the past year I have really got into wanting to race. So my step dad went out and got me a competitive bike and took me to the local track to ride. After the first time I was anxious to do it on a track. The next week he took me. I was scared to death. He told me to just go ride. He didn’t expect me to win but to have fun and learn from the experience. Well after the practice session and some pointers from him and some others, I finished my first race in 5th. So we have a few races under my belt now and my best so far is 2nd. Hoping to change that real soon. I am trying to encourage my little sister to join in on the family fun as we all have met great friends at the track and it has become a family event. Friends from home have now started racing with us. So now the friendly rivals have began.
Riding Goals
Well I ride cause it is so much fun. Before dirt bikes I stayed inside and played lots of video games. Now my afternoons are riding and trying to be the next star. Video games and YouTube are now about motorcycles. This year I want to win at least one race. That is my goal. I’m so close. Just need some more seat time and I’m sure I can get there.
Competitive Highlights
So far I’ve raced four races. I have finished within the top 6 at all four. My best being second. I have learned to work on the bike more and more as we take it apart to fix things. I’ve learned that proper maintenance and settings keeps the bike running and able to be competitive.
