Personal History

I grew up in a dirt bike family. My dad had been riding since he was a kid, my brother started very young, and my sister rode as a kid as well. I started riding when I was 8, I learned on my brothers PW50; and I haven't been away from bikes ever since. My first ride on the 50 and I caught the bug, I was in for life. I moved to a CRF70 and spent a LONG time on it, I didn't want a bigger bike because I didn't want a clutch. Once I finally decided I could do it, my dad bought me a TTR125, which I only spent a few months on. I literally took off and never looked back. From the TTR125, I stole my dad's YZ125. He was apprehensive because I couldn't touch the ground, but I was determined. After all, once you take off you don't need to touch the ground. I rode that for a few years, started racing on it and fell in love with racing immediately. I am now racing a CRF250 and love every single second I get to be on my bike. It's how I handle the ups and downs of life, "drop a gear and disappear", I leave everything on the track.

Riding Goals

My goals as a racer are to of course keep getting better. It has taken me a bit to get to where I am now. It took me racing the boys and pushing myself, accepting my losses, knowing the boys are better than me, to become a better rider and racer. At my local track, we don't even have a women's class. When we travel, if they have a women's class, there's not a lot of competition. So I knew I had to race those better than me to ever improve. I love the competition against the guys, it's very motivating to be out there with them, seeing myself get better and moving up in positions.
