Personal History
As a passionate, intelligent and highly skilled biker, I would like to request your attention to my CV in this profile. You might find it appealing to your business as I would aid in the advertising of your products and business image.
I have approached you since motocross and enduro challenges and all their entities are expensive sports. As a 21 year old, I am unable to cover all these costs and reach my potential on my own. I believe I have a lot to offer in the motocross and enduro world but for something like money to hold me back would be a tragedy.
I’m a committed rider as I practice regularly (up to 7 days a week) and I look after my mind and body. I bought my Honda TRX 450 second hand in 2011 and repaired it with my own two hands after which I started racing. I’ve been able to race because of my experience in motorcycle mechanics; I repair my quad bike by myself to prevent any extra costs from hindering me. But there comes a point in time where parts need to be replaced as the challenges endured by motorcycles are not gentle ones.
I recently initiated a medical research proposal along with Dané Nel (medical student at the University of Namibia; School of Medicine) who’s worked with the United Nations under the World Health Organization. With her research experience and contact with the Health Systems Officer of the WHO Namibia and my experience in motorcycle mechanics, we’re looking at the causes behind traumatic motorcycle injuries that need surgery and how these can be prevented in the future in Namibia. I believe this research is important for the future of motorcycling in Namibia since people are becoming more afraid of accidents and leaving motorcycling instead of looking at the exact causes and how they can be prevented without giving up a passion for off-road racing. Besides, motorcycling will never be discontinued, so instead of fighting a lost cause, let’s work on what we can change.
I am a responsible motorcyclist and this is evident as I’ve only been in one accident and it was this year, April 2015, when my broken shocks caused me to fall at the motocross challenge, breaking a bone in my hand. After the resting and healing of my hand, I started up again and won the final national enduro challenge in October 2015.
Riding Goals
I’m aiming towards becoming an international professional in quad biking. I believe to receive the title of ‘number one quad biker in Namibia’ in 2016 and I would, therefore, like to aim beyond Namibia in the future.
