Personal History

My name is Heather Lockwood-Kelley, Im 37 years old and have been riding motorcycles since I was 6 years old. I started racing in 2003 and earned my WMX Pro license in 2010. I raced 4 years in the WMX and then took a break from racing when the series ended. I've spend the last few years starting a successful business and raising my daughter. She showed a love for motorcycles as well so we decided it was time to come back to the sport. In the spring of 2021 I purchased a new yz250f (and a 50 for her) with the plan of starting back into racing for the 22 season in the women's expert/pro class. As well as racing the 250/450 intermediate and vet classes.

Riding Goals

Because of covid I plan on staying fairly fluid with my race calendar the next year or 2. I want to race (win) Mammoth for sure and some of the other big outdoor amateur nationals. Ive qualified for Lorettas numerous times but have never been able to go so Id like to do that. Swap Moto series, Gold cup, Ama So Cal Series, Day in the Dirt. I grew up in the Mojave desert and have always wanted to try off-road racing, so that is on the list. Maybe Vegas to Reno?
