Rider Updates

Aug 4 2013

My first race back since 2009 and it happend to be a great one. I work shift work and the race happened to be the morning after my last night shift. I get off work at 5:30 am and the gates opened at 6:00 am so I brought my bike and things with me to work and headed straight to the track after work. I managed to get almost a full hour of sleep in the parking lot of the track before the early birds started cranking up the bikes. Tired as I was I was excited to get the bike out on the track and put down some fast laps. Practice went well and I pulled the hole shot in the first moto and led the entire race. We were double gated with the 450 c/d class but they didnt have a chance. In the second moto we were double gated with the 450 a/b class so this race was a bit more fun. What made it more exciting was Andrew Shorts wife and father were racing the 450 a so I got to put in some laps with them. Of course they both had me on the start seeing they were on 450s and I was on a 250 but I did catch up to them and made a few attemps at Mrs. Short and decided that the roost was not very fun to be eating and it wasnt going to change my position in my class so I just hung out behind them both. I ended up going 1-1 in the 25+ class and had a great time doing it.
