Personal History
I grew up in beautiful Central Pennsylvania surrounded by woods. What started as a TTR 125 to ride some trails with my dad on his old Yamaha IT 175 turned into an addiction! From Yz 85s to RMZ 250s riding and motocross became one of my favorite things to do. Even just trail riding for fun every weekend with friends was something I looked forward to regularly.
At the end of High School I hit my peak of MX yet decided to liquidate my equipment to help with preparing for college. I have a B.A. in Political Science with a concentration in Pre-Law from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. I have maintained employment from high school all through college and to the present day.
Currently I am an instructor at DuBois Business College. I head the Legal Studies and Executive Assistant programs at my campus located in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. I intend to continue working here to gain experience and build my resume until I can save enough money to attend law school and obtain my Juris Doctorate.
Riding Goals
I recently purchased another dirt bike after about 6 years off from competition. I rode periodically during this hiatus but nothing serious. As of late however, I have caught the MX bug again! I have paired up with some friends and have been traveling to ride as much as possible. At first I wanted to focus strictly on woods racing whether it be HS or Enduros. A few trips back to the MX tracks have changed my mind back to racing motocross again.
I would love to get back to where I left off. That would be a solid competitor in 250 & Open C (formally 125 and 250c). I run regularly to stay in shape regardless of riding so this reborn obsession has pushed me to run longer and harder. For now we are running as much as we can on the weekends and trying to ride and balance work and life.
My goal for next year would be to compete in a complete series locally or regionally to me. It's a toss up between AMA District 5, 6, or 7. Have yet to decide which I would like to compete in faithfully for points. I would like to get support in any shape of form. It's novice weekend warriors like myself that help keep the local tracks alive. I also would like to later use my current and future degree to advocate for riders throughout my state!
Most importantly I want to have fun and help others learn more about the sport and great experience we know as riding motorcycles!
Competitive Highlights
From 2005-2008 I had solid top 5 finishes regularly at my local track Panther Hollow MX located in Huntingdon, PA. I won a handful of races and have the plaques and trophies in my basement still. I am proud of those achievements even though they weren't extremely noteworthy--they were to me! They bring back great memories.
During that span I also consistently finished top 5 in the yearly points series.
I apologize for the lack of specific dates however I can provide them upon request.
